Founded in 2008 by sibling duo Katie Burke (Rick) and Jacob Rick at the historic Great River Landing in Onalaska, Wisconsin — one of the many legendary sawmill sites along the Black River — the Roleo has grown from a hometown competition into one of the premier log rolling events in the country. Featured on Fox Sports North & Fox Sports Wisconsin from 2015- 2019, along with a feature on Discover Wisconsin in 2023. The event has featured many of the sport’s top professional and amateur athletes.

New this year, the event will be part of Howard’s Flannel Fest, creating an even bigger festival atmosphere for athletes, families, and visitors alike. Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy professional (Saturday) and amateur (Friday)log rolling competitions, chainsaw carving demonstrations, live music, food vendors, local artisan booths, and family-friendly entertainment.
